Range has changed its name

Last year, the development of Range was stifled because I found an established app called Range out there. An app that is in the same category as my planning app Range. I don’t know how I missed this in the initial round of naming the app, but I did and needed to find a new name. I looked for ages for a unique, spellable name – with a URL that worked.

I solicited lots of opinions. Nothing felt quite right for ages.

I went through 240 names. 31 were some variation on Range. I got close at times. I got excited. Only to feel lukewarm about it the next day.

However, I’ve now landed on something I like. Cucumbar. Cucumbar is the new name for Range. I’m not kidding. No jokes. It isn’t even April Fools yet. It has personality, it’s cute, and I can have fun with it along the way.
